April 19, 2021 Mutual Aid Drill
On April 19, 2021 the Oldwick Fire Company drilled with mutual aid fire companies and rescue squads: Tewksbury Rescue, Whitehouse Rescue, Califon Fire, and Pottersville Fire. Tactics, and a review of equipment location capability and location were conducted.
The Oldwick Fire Company is sad to announce the passing of George Apgar, past chief and member since 1958
George Apgar passed away on Saturday, April 10, 2021. He was a life member of the Oldwick Fire Company and served in many roles including twice as Chief of the company. George will be dearly missed.

NOTICE IS HEREBY GIVEN the Oldwick Fire Company located in Oldwick, New Jersey [the Issuer], will allow for public comment on Friday, February 5, 2021 at 7 PM., via the following local telephone number 908-439-2448, for the purpose of holding a public hearing pursuant to the requirements of Section 147(f) of the Internal Revenue Code of 1986, as amended on a proposal the Issuer enter into an agreement to finance certain equipment. The equipment to be financed consists of One (1) 2011 Pierce Qantum Rescue Pumper VIN#4P1CU01E2BA011467 and will be maintained at the fire station in Oldwick, NJ.
To finance the costs of such equipment and pay costs and expenses incidental to the financing, the Issuer proposes to enter into a loan agreement with a maximum aggregate principal amount not to exceed $246,000. The Issuer will be required to pay all taxes on the equipment. The rental payments due pursuant to the loan agreement will be secured by a security interest in the equipment.
All persons interested may phone in and be heard at said time and place or may file written comments with the Oldwick Fire Company prior to the date of hearing set forth heretofore.

Congratulations to Andrew Melick, Class of 2020 on his graduation from Vorhees high school. Andrew is an active member and a fire academy graduate.
The Oldwick Fire Company is sad to announce the passing of Robert Hoffman Sr.
Bob Hoffman, Oldwick Fire Company member since 1986, past president and current trustee, has passed the bar. Funeral services will begin at Coughlin Funeral Home in Califon, Saturday April 18, 2020 at 1:30. Mr. Hoffman will be followed by both the Fairmont Fire Company and the Oldwick Fire Company. Mr. Hoffman’s widsom will very much be missed.

Wilbur Conner, a member of the Oldwick Fire Company since 1964, passed away on March 6th, 2020. Wilbur was very active in the fire company and served as treasurer for decades. Wilbur’s dedication, attention to detail and sharp wit will be missed.
The Oldwick Fire Company is supporting our partner Food Architects during COVID-19.
Food Architects is the primary caterer of the Oldwick Manor, and due to COVID19, they have lost 100% of their business. So Food Architects have started a Go Fund Me Page in which they are using the funds to both feed the needy and keep their employees on the payroll. Their plan has been featured in NJ.com and the Star Ledger.
