On November 9, 2024, Oldwick Fire Company responded to a brush fire northwest of the town center. Also responding were Pottersville Fire Company and NJ State Forest Fire. Several acres along with a barn and tractor were burned. Due to heavy brush, the Forest Fire service utilized a small earthmover. A rekindle response occurred later in the day.
